If you’re asking whether to do a Dip or a Delta at the moment, then good for you! Taking the next step in your professional development via a teaching qualification can only be a good thing.

And it’s also great that you’re researching the different options available before taking the plunge. Time-wise, the commitment is considerable, not to mention the cost.

To return to the question - which should I choose? Well, we can’t really answer that for you. And of course, you’ll have noticed that we offer the Trinity Dip TESOL here at Dublin TEFL, so any response we give is bound to be somewhat partial. What we can do, though, is tell you why we chose to run a Dip course rather than a Delta, and that’s what we’ll be doing in this series of posts.

Before we delve into the nitty-gritty of our decision, here is a quick side-by-side overview of the two qualifications.

Look out for our forthcoming posts on why we chose to run the Dip rather than the Delta, based on our years of experience working on both schemes.

In part 2 we’ll look at how the Dip provides more opportunities for development in the teaching component.
